How to Love Yourself Again
Secret #1 To Love Yourself: Have a “Yes Day!”
If you haven’t watched the movie yet, it’s great for the whole family. So many times we tell ourselves NO to our most simplest yet important dreams, wants and desires. What would happen if we made one simple change?
Say Yes instead of NO!
Be open minded and accept the things you want. Don’t let your limitng beliefs tell you you can not have it or achieve it. Change your mindset to a more accepting one and shoot for your dreams.
This positive thinking opens doors to more positivity in your life and allows you to see your true potential when you start crushing your goals and achieving the things you actually want!
Secret #2 To Loving Yourself AGAIN! Dress to impress YOURSELF!
When was the last time you dressed up? I know I can admit I shoot for comfort these days rather than feeling good and although it is amazing to not worry about what people think your opinion is the one that counts.
If you feel frumpy or worn out when you look in the mirror it can be as simple as
- doing your hair in a new style,
- wearing a pretty blouse,
- wearing your favourite outfit,
- or even adding a little make-up.
Or maybe you want an extra boost of change,
- how about giving yourself a makeover?
- go shopping for a new outfit that you love and feel good in.
- a piece of beautiful decor with your favourite body image affirmation by your bedside or somewhere you see every day.
- Having a confidence journal is another great way to boost confidence, write down the things that you are proud of and love the most about yourself.
- Treat yourself to a professional photoshoot. If that isn’t an option for you right now and you have kids or a friend around you can have them do the shoot for you, loads of fun!
What part of your routine from your more confident days have you left out? Add it in for a day and see how it affects your confidence to speak up, to be productive and to just smile when you see your reflection.
Raise Your Voice is Secret #3
No, I don’t mean to yell, I mean to speak YOUR voice. When was the last time you said how you felt? When was the last time you didn’t go with the popular vote? Be YOU, and speak up.
Stop apologizing for being who you want to be and for taking care of yourself. Don’t let silence claim your voice. Don’t let others speak over you and take the power of your voice. YOU have something to say and it is hella important.

How to Love Yourself Secret #4: Get out of your comfort zone!
This is something that holds most people back and in fact, it is often something that people resort to once fear sets in. Change is scary, I get it, but if you don’t step out of your comfort zone and try something new then nothing will ever change.
When we succeed at new things it sows us that we are capable of anything we put our mind to it. Even if we fail at something new we have the choice to learn from it and try again. These are often the wins we are most proud of. Failure is a blessing when it comes to confidence if we allow it to be.
Change the way your body talks to your mind is Love Yourself Secret #5
You may have heard that if you smile for two minutes whether you want to or not that you will start to feel your mood change, well it’s true! Our body speaks directly to our minds if we are slouching we may feel down, if we are fisting pumping the air we might feel powerful or perhaps even triumphant.
Our body language is extremely powerful, so sit up straight, put a smile on your face and hold you head high, let that self-love and pride shine speak to your mind.

Love Yourself Secret #6 Stop Comparison!
There is no better way to banish self-love than comparing yourself to someone else. STOP IT RIGHT NOW! The next time you find you yourself thinking why can’t I have what she has STOP! Take a deep breath and think of something wonderful that you have or that you have achieved.
Being aware of comparing yourself to others is huge in understanding what you truly want. Sometimes society makes us believe we want something because we believe it would make us happy. Assess your limiting beliefs for a transformation that could change your life.

More often than not we focus on our weaknesses which can be good a thing if we are able to change them. However we tend to focus too much on our weaknesses and not enough on our strengths. When you need to love yourself again you need to focus on what makes you amazing, what makes you YOU and what makes you powerful!

Secret #8 to love yourself: Take a compliment!
You know the girl who gets the compliment “Love your dress!” and instantaneously says “Oh this old thing? Thanks.” I love you because Girl, that was me, heck it still is me sometimes. The biggest smallest thing I did to boost my confidence was to just say “Thanks” and shush!
So simple, so small but so powerful. Receiving compliments had always left me feeling awkward although giving compliments make me good. If this is you, change this little thing today and track it with my habit tracker, if you can achieve Thanks and shush for one month you will have this habit reformed!
Work on the little things is secret #9 to love yourself
This is probably the most understated thing in the world. We hear it all the time but we always strive for the big picture and can take off a bit more than we can chew. When we struggle to love ourselves we need to remember to take it slow and work our way up to it.
Little things matter and I write about this often whether it be in perception or in goal setting. Both are fundamental in self-confidence!
Pour Gratitude on yourself is secret #10 to love yourself again!
Whether you call it gratitude, acknowledgement or self-love pouring it on yourself is reaffirming all the greta tings you have done and building the empowering belief of what you can achieve in the future!
When i s he last time you celebrated a goal you achieved? The majority of people reach a goal feel happy for a few days and the pride and memory evaporates.
there are a few ways you can practice making this a part of your everyday life:
- start a daily gratitude journal
- celebrate your achievements
- reward yourself for trying something new
- track your mindset and reassess monthly (weekly if you need to)
- photograph the occasion
- tell someone (heck you can tell me all your achievements!)
